The day we had been waiting for all along

There is a moment in life when you look back — at the sleepless nights, the doubts, the sacrifices, the times someone asked 'but why?' — and you realise it was all worth it. Every drop of sweat. Every hour of effort.

18 April 2026 is that moment for us.

On the beach of Punta Pellaro, in front of the Strait of Messina that has watched us build, dream, and persist, Blue Tribe officially opened its kite school. The first lessons. The first students. The first magic.

A dream built brick by brick

This journey began with little more than a dream and one unshakeable belief: that kitesurfing is not just a sport. It is a way of life. It is the feeling of being truly free — with the wind in your hands, the water beneath your feet, and the sky as your only limit.

I studied, trained, earned my IKO instructor certification. I built — alongside Daniela Mandaliti and our extraordinary partners — what is today called Blue Tribe. The road was not always smooth. There were steep climbs, moments of doubt, days when the destination felt impossibly far.

But when you feel that something is your mission, you have no choice but to see it through.

The first lessons. The first smiles. The first magic.

Watching the first students on the beach of Punta Pellaro was an emotion that words can barely hold. Seeing their eyes widen as the kite rose into the sky for the first time. Watching that mixture of fear and euphoria turn into a smile they simply could not wipe from their faces.

In those faces, I saw myself — years ago. That wonder. That spark. That precise moment when the world around you disappears and there is only you, the wind, the water, and the sky.

That is what I have always been chasing. And it is here, at last.

We do not teach kitesurfing. We teach people to feel alive.

Blue Tribe is not a school in the traditional sense. It is a place where people arrive curious and leave transformed. Where you learn to listen to the wind, respect the water, and trust your own body. Where you discover that your limits are far further away than you ever imagined.

Every lesson is a journey. Every session is a story to tell. And every student who learns to fly their kite carries something back that goes far beyond technique: the certainty that they are capable of extraordinary things.
